Wrath of Man
Could the wrath of man be pointing to the church rising against the elect in tribulation?
SUN GOING DOWN: JUDGMENT ON THE CHURCH?
Mic 3:6 Therefore night shall be unto you, that ye shall not have a vision; and it shall be dark unto you, that ye shall not divine; and the SUN SHALL GO DOWN over the prophets, and the day shall be dark over them.
Am 8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the SUN TO GO DOWN at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:
Jer 15:9 She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her SUN IS GONE DOWN while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith the LORD.
Ge 15:17 And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.
SUN DOES NOT GO DOWN: SALVATION – REDEMPTION OF THE BODY?
Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the SUN GO DOWN upon your wrath:
Isa 60:20 Thy SUN SHALL NO MORE GO DOWN; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the LORD shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
Jos 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted NOT TO GO DOWN about a whole DAY.
Isa 38:6 And I will deliver thee and this city out of the hand of the king of Assyria: and I will defend this city.
Isa 38:8 Behold, I will bring again the shadow of the degrees, which is gone down in the sun dial of Ahaz, ten degrees backward. So the SUN returned ten degrees, by which degrees it was GONE DOWN.
De 24:15 At his day thou shalt give him his hire, neither shall the SUN GO DOWN upon it; for he is poor, and setteth his heart upon it: lest he cry against thee unto the LORD, and it be sin unto thee.
UPON THY WRATH: WRATH OF GOD OR THE CHURCH?
Eph 4:26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the SUN GO DOWN upon YOUR WRATH:
Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and WRATH, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
Job 5:2 For WRATH killeth the foolish man, and envy slayeth the silly one.
Ps 76:10 Surely the WRATH of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.
Pr 12:16 A fool’s WRATH is presently known: but a prudent man covereth shame.
Pr 19:19 A man of great WRATH shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.
Jas 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to WRATH:
Jas 1:20 For the WRATH of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Re 18:3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the WRATH of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.
Ge 27:43 Now therefore, my son, obey my voice; and arise, flee thou to Laban my brother to Haran;
Ge 27:44 And tarry with him a few days, until thy brother’s FURY turn away;
Ge 27:45 Until thy brother’s ANGER turn away from thee, and he forget that which thou hast done to him: then I will send, and fetch thee from thence: why should I be deprived also of you both in one day?
The Bible appears to be linking the sun going down to the judgment that comes on the corporate church at the appearing of Christ. And the language of it NOT going down would relate to God bringing back the captivity of the believers. It’s interesting to see also that there is both the wrath of God vs. The wrath of man. The latter being the hostility of the church in tribulation.
