Baptized for the Dead

Elect going through the Great Tribulation? Let's examine.

BAPTISM: WASHING AWAY OF SIN – THROUGH THE SHEDDING OF BLOOD?

Eze 36:25 Then will I SPRINKLE clean WATER upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

Mr 16:16 He that believeth and is BAPTIZED shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Mt 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, BAPTIZING them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

CLEANSING THE LAND: SALVATION THROUGH THE SHEDDING OF BLOOD?

Nu 35:33 So ye shall not pollute the land wherein ye are: for blood it defileth the land: and the land cannot be CLEANSED (atonement) of the blood that is shed therein, but by the blood of him that shed it.

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without SHEDDING OF BLOOD is no remission.

Isa 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the BLOOD of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of JUDGMENT, and by the spirit of BURNING.

BAPTIZED FOR THE DEAD: REFINING OF THE ELECT IN TRIBULATION?

1Co 15:29 Else what shall they do which are BAPTIZED for the DEAD, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?

Ro 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were BAPTIZED into his DEATH?

Ro 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by BAPTISM into DEATH: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

Mt 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be BAPTIZED with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.

1Co 15:16 For if the DEAD RISE not, then is not Christ raised:

1Co 15:17 And if Christ be not RAISED, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

1Co 15:18 Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1Co 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I DIE daily.

1Co 15:32 If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.

FIRE BAPTISM: ELECT ENDURING TRIBULATION?

Mt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall BAPTIZE you with the Holy Ghost, and {} FIRE:

Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part THROUGH THE FIRE, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Eze 39:6 And I will SEND A FIRE on Magog, and among them that dwell carelessly in the isles: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

1Pe 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be TRIED WITH FIRE, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:

Re 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold TRIED IN THE FIRE, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see.

1Co 3:13 Every man’s work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the FIRE SHALL TRY every man’s work of what sort it is.

1Co 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet SO AS BY FIRE.

1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were SAVED BY WATER.

Ps 66:10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast TRIED US, as silver is tried.

RISING OF THE DEAD: REVELATION OF CHRIST AT THE SEPARATION?

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Joh 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Da 12:2 And many of them that SLEEP in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION

God appears to be associating baptism for the dead with the Elect having had to endure tribulation. They were brought through the fire and refined in judgment. The judgment they endured as well as God now shedding the blood of Babylon made it possible for them to experience the resurrection (revelation of Christ).
