Taking Thought

Could Philippians 4:6 be pointing to the state of the Church in tribulation?

CARES OF THIS LIFE: STATE OF THE CHURCH IN TRIBULATION?

Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

De 10:18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and **raiment**.

Re 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in **white raiment**; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.

1Ti 6:8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.

Mr 4:19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of RICHES, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Lu 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and DRUNKENNESS, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.

1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are DRUNKEN in the night.

Ro 13:13 Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and DRUNKENNESS, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

Lu 12:45 But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be DRUNKEN;

TAKING THOUGHT: TROUBLED BODY IN TRIBULATION?

Php 4:6 Be careful <3309> for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

Mt 6:25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought <3309> for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

Mt 6:28 And why take ye thought <3309> for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

Mt 6:31 Therefore take no thought <3309>, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

Mt 6:34 Take therefore no thought <3309> for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

Mt 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought <3309> how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.

Lu 10:41 And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful <3309> and troubled about many things:

Lu 12:11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and unto magistrates, and powers, take <3309> ye no thought <3309> how or what thing ye shall answer, or what ye shall say:

Lu 12:22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought <3309> for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.

Lu 12:26 If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought <3309> for the rest?

1Co 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have <3309> the same care <3309> one for another.

Php 2:20 For I have no man likeminded, who will naturally care <3309> for your state.

1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.

PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION: CRY OR CALLING ON THE LORD FROM TRIBULATION?

Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

2Ch 6:35 Then hear thou from the heavens their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

Ps 6:9 The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer.

Ps 55:1 Give ear to my prayer, O God; and hide not thyself from my supplication.

Ex 3:7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the AFFLICTION of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their SORROWS;

Ne 5:6 And I was very angry when I heard their cry and these words.

Ps 106:44 Nevertheless he regarded their AFFLICTION, when he heard their cry:

Re 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

To be careful (anxious) or concerned with the cares of this life appears to be spiritually pointing to the state of the church in tribulation. The command is for the Elect NOT to be concerned about the threat of Babylon. The Lord hears their prayer and supplication and makes a way of escape for them at the revelation of Christ.
