First Estate

Did the Church leave its First Estate (Christ) in tribulation? Let's examine.

FIRST ESTATE: BEGINNING, CHRIST?

Jude 1:6-7 And the angels which kept not their FIRST estate <746>, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day… Even as SODOM and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an EXAMPLE, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.

Re 11:8 And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called SODOM and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified.

Re 22:13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning <746> and the end, the FIRST and the **last**.

Heb 3:14 For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning <746> of our confidence stedfast **unto the end**;

Mt 24:13 But he that shall endure *unto the end*, the same shall be saved.

2Jo 1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning <746>, ye should *walk in it*.

1Jo 2:24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning <746> shall remain in you, ye also shall **continue in the Son**, and in the Father.

2Pe 2:4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

He 10:26-27 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,… But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Re 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy FIRST love.

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the TRUTH, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.

Re 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

ESTATE: CHRIST, CHURCH IN TRIBULATION?

Jude 1:6 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Da 11:21 And in his estate shall stand up a vile person, to whom they shall not give the honour of the kingdom: but he shall come in peaceably, and obtain the kingdom by flatteries.

Ro 12:16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.

Lu 1:48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

Ec 3:18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts.

Ps 136:23 Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever:

HABITATION: HOUSE OF GOD, DWELLING PLACE?

Jude 1:6-7 And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation <3613>, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day

2Co 5:2 For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house <3613> which is from heaven:

Re 18:2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird.

Eph 2:22 In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Jer 50:19 And I will bring Israel again to his habitation, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied upon mount Ephraim and Gilead.

Ps 14:7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.

Ezr 7:15 And to carry the silver and gold, which the king and his counsellors have freely offered unto the God of Israel, whose habitation is in Jerusalem,

Jer 9:6 Thine habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, saith the LORD.

Ps 90:1 Lord, thou hast been our dwelling place in all generations.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

Eventhough Jude 1:6-7 appears to be speaking of fallen, celestial angels, the more accurate picture, Lord willing, is the spiritual image of the falling away of the church (angels) in tribulation. The Church left Christ who is the FIRST and LAST causing God’s wrath to fall on it in the same manner of the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrha.
