Abomination of Desolation

How does the Abomination of Desolation relate the Church coming into the great tribulation? Let's examine.

Lu 21:20 And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh.

Lu 19:43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast a trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side,

Da 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Re 21:27 And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Le 18:27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)

Le 18:29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

Da 8:13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

Da 8:14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

The Bible appears to be equating the abomination of desolation with the rise of Satan at the start of the great tribulation. He was typified by the King of Babylon (God’s Servant) who defiled the land of Judah. Because of this abomination that was standing where God the Holy Spirit used to be, the elect have to find refuge in Christ; flight to the mountains, depart out.
