With Child

Is the Church said to be with child in tribulation? Let's examine.

WITH CHILD: CHURCH IN TRIBULATION?

1Th 3:7 Therefore, brethren, we were comforted over you in all our affliction and distress <318> by your faith:

2Co 6:4 But in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God, in much patience, in afflictions, in necessities <318>, in distresses,

La 4:3 Even the sea monsters (dragon, serpent) draw out the breast, they give suck <03243> to their young ones: the daughter of my people {is become} cruel, like the ostriches in the wilderness.

La 4:4 The tongue of the sucking child <03243> cleaveth to the roof of his mouth for thirst: the young children ask bread, and no man breaketh it unto them.

Joe 2:16 Gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck <03243> the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet.

Am 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Mt 19:14 But Jesus said, Suffer LITTLE CHILDREN, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for <of such is the kingdom of heaven>.

Job 39:3 They bow themselves, they bring forth their YOUNG ONES, they cast out their sorrows.

Re 12:2 And she being WITH CHILD cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman WITH CHILD; and they shall not escape.

Ho 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women WITH CHILD shall be ripped up.

Jer 31:8 Behold, I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman WITH CHILD and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

Jer 31:9 They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Isa 26:18 We have been WITH CHILD, we have been in pain, we have as it were brought forth wind; we have not wrought any deliverance in the earth; neither have the inhabitants of the world fallen.

Isa 26:17 Like as a woman WITH CHILD, that draweth near the time of her delivery, is in pain, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been in thy sight, O LORD.

Eze 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of JERUSALEM, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that CRY for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Eze 9:5 And to the others he said in mine hearing, Go ye after him through the city, and smite: let not your eye spare, neither have ye pity:

Eze 9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

BRING FORTH: REDEMPTION OF THE BODY?

Lu 23:29 For, behold, the days are coming, in the which they shall say, Blessed are the barren, and the wombs that never bare, and the paps which never gave suck.

Isa 54:1 Sing, O barren, thou that didst not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, thou that didst not travail with child: for more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married wife, saith the LORD.

Ge 16:11 And the angel of the LORD said unto her, Behold, thou art with child, and shalt bear a son, and shalt call his name Ishmael (God will hear); because the LORD hath heard thy affliction <06040>.

Zec 13:9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It is my people: and they shall say, The LORD is my God.

Re 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Job 36:15 He delivereth the poor in his affliction <06040>, and openeth their ears in oppression.

Ps 9:13 Have mercy upon me, O LORD; consider my trouble <06040> which I suffer of them that hate me, thou that liftest me up from the gates of death:

Joh 16:21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

Isa 66:7 Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

Re 12:5 And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron: and her child was caught up unto God, and to his throne.

Re 12:6 And the woman fled into the wilderness, where she hath a place prepared of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and threescore days.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

To be with child appears to be the language of the church in tribulation. She is viewed as a woman about to bring forth (give birth) which seems to be pointing to the redemption of the body at the revelation of Christ.
