We Shall not ALL Sleep

Could 1Co 15:51 be speaking of the redemption of the Elect from Tribulation? Let's examine.

SLEEPING: CONDITION OF THE CHURCH BEFORE AND THROUGH THE GREAT TRIBULATION?

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not ALL sleep, but we shall ALL be changed,

Mt 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

1Co 15:22 For as in Adam ALL die, even so in Christ shall ALL be made alive.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Job 14:12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the heavens be no more, they shall NOT awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

Ro 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God.

1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

1Th 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive {and} remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. (in other words, the whole body will eventually come together? – those being gathered in time will eventually meet Christ)

Eph 4:13 Till we ALL come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

Lu 22:46 And said unto them, Why sleep ye? rise and pray, lest ye enter into temptation.

Mt 26:43 And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

2Co 6:9 As unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and, behold, we live; as chastened, and not killed;

Job 14:12 So man lieth down, and riseth not: till the ((heavens be no more)), they shall not awake, nor be raised out of their sleep.

RESURRECTION OF LIFE: REVELATION OF CHRIST TO FREE THE ELECT FROM THE GRAVE THAT IS BABYLON?

1Co 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not ALL sleep, but we shall ALL be changed,

Joh 5:28 Marvel not at this: for the HOUR is coming, in the which ALL that are in the graves shall hear his voice,

Joh 5:29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Lu 11:44 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are as graves which appear not, and the men that walk over them are not aware of them.

1Th 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the <<dead in Christ shall rise first>>:

1Th 4:17 <<Then we which are alive {and} remain shall be caught up together>> with them (HIM) in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

1Co 15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the <<dead shall be raised incorruptible>>, and <<we shall be changed>>.

Re 20:5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

Re 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Joh 11:24 Martha saith unto him, I know that he (Lazarus) shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day.

Joh 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Joh 7:37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.

CONCLUSION:

The Bible appears to be associating sleeping with the state of the church during the church age and more so in tribulation. The whole body sleeps but because God bring back the captivity of the elect, they are said NOT to sleep (not suffer the second death). Instead those alive are changed and join Christ as the whole body comes together.
