Cain's Mark

Did the Mark God put on Cain typify the redemption of the Church from tribulation? Let's examine.

MARK, TOKEN, SIGN: CHRIST?

Ge 4:15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark <0226> upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Ge 9:17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token <0226> of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth.

Ex 3:12 And he said, Certainly I will be with thee; and this shall be a token <0226> unto thee, that I have sent thee: When thou hast brought forth the people out of Egypt, ye shall serve God upon this mountain.

Ex 4:17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs <0226>.

Nu 17:10 And the LORD said unto Moses, Bring Aaron’s rod again before the testimony, to be kept for a token <0226> against the rebels; and thou shalt quite take away their murmurings from me, that they die not.

Ps 86:17 Shew me a token <0226> for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me.

Jud 6:17 And he said unto him, If now I have found grace in thy sight, then shew me a sign <0226> that thou talkest with me.

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign <0226>; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Jer 10:2 Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs <0226> of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them.

VENGEANCE SEVENFOLD: JUDGMENT ON BABYLON?

Ge 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Ge 4:15 And the LORD said unto him, Therefore whosoever slayeth Cain, vengeance shall be taken on him sevenfold. And the LORD set a mark upon Cain, lest any finding him should kill him.

Eze 9:4 And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark <08420> upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.

Eze 9:6 Slay utterly old and young, both maids, and little children, and women: but come not near any man upon whom is the mark <08420>; and begin at my sanctuary. Then they began at the ancient men which were before the house.

Ps 79:11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die;

Ps 79:12 And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord.

Pr 6:31 But if he be found (the thief), he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

Ge 4:23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice; ye wives of Lamech, hearken unto my speech: for I have slain a man to my wounding, and a young man to my hurt.

Ge 4:24 If Cain shall be avenged sevenfold, truly Lamech seventy and sevenfold (70x7?).

Mt 18:21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

Mt 18:22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

De 32:35 To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste.

Re 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

Ps 58:10 The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.

SALVATION OF AN UNSAVED: REDEEMPTION OF THE UNCLEAN BODY?

1Co 3:15 If any man’s work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but {} himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

1Pe 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.

Ge 20:17 So Abraham prayed unto God: and God healed Abimelech, and his wife, and his maidservants; and they bare children.

Ge 20:18 For the LORD had fast closed up all the wombs of the house of Abimelech, because of Sarah Abraham’s wife.

Ge 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

Ge 17:25 And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old, when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.

Re 13:3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION

Cain’s Mark appears to be the sign of salvation that is placed on the body of Christ. He seems to be a type of the elect that God delivers in tribulation after he too had been a part of babylon in killing the prophets.
