Could 1600 Furlongs in Revelation 14:20 be speaking of God's judgment on the Church after the tribulation?
WINEPRESS: THE VINEYARD (CHURCH) THAT GOD PLANTED?
Re 14:19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine <288> of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God.
Joh 15:1 I am the true vine <288>, and my Father is the husbandman.
Re 14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
La 1:14 The yoke of my transgressions is bound by his hand: they are wreathed, and come up upon my neck: he hath made my strength to fall, the Lord hath *delivered me into their hands*, from whom I am not able to rise up.
La 1:15 The Lord hath trodden under foot all my mighty men in the midst of me: he hath called an assembly against me to crush my young men: the Lord hath *trodden* the virgin, the daughter of JUDAH, as in a winepress.
Isa 63:3 I have *trodden* the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment.
Isa 63:4 For the DAY of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.
Mt 21:33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and digged a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen <1092>, and went into a far country:
Mt 21:41 They say unto him, He will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen <1092>, which shall render him the fruits in their seasons.
Isa 5:1 Now will I sing to my wellbeloved a song of my beloved touching his vineyard. My wellbeloved hath a vineyard in a very fruitful hill:
Isa 5:2 And he fenced it, and gathered out the stones thereof, and planted it with the choicest vine, and built a tower in the midst of it, and also made a winepress therein: and he looked that it should bring forth grapes, and it brought forth wild grapes.
Ho 9:1 Rejoice not, O ISRAEL, for joy, as other people: for thou hast gone a whoring from thy God, thou hast loved a reward upon every cornfloor.
Ho 9:2 The floor and the winepress shall *not feed them*, and the new wine shall fail in her.
Eze 34:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to *cease from feeding the flock*; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them.
BRIDLE: GOD USING THE CHURCH AS AN ADVERSARY TO DESTROY ITSELF?
Isa 30:28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle <07448> in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.
Job 30:11 Because he hath loosed my cord, and afflicted me, they have also let loose the bridle <07448> before me.
Job 41:13 Who can discover the face of his garment? or who can come to him with his double bridle <07448>?
Pr 26:3 A whip for the horse, a bridle <04964> for the ass, and a rod for the fool’s back.
Pr 23:13 Withhold not correction from the child: for if thou beatest him with the rod, he shall not die.
Pr 23:14 Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.
2Ki 19:28 Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
Isa 37:29 Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
Eze 38:4 And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:
Am 4:2 The Lord GOD hath sworn by his holiness, that, lo, the DAYS shall come upon you, that he will take you away with hooks, and your posterity with fishhooks.
HORSE BRIDLES: THE CHURCH – LITTLE MEMBER LIKE THE TONGUE THAT TURNS ABOUT THE WHOLE BODY?
Re 14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse <2462> bridles <5469>, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.
Jas 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation.
Jas 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle <5468> the whole body.
Jas 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth <5468> not his TONGUE, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
Jas 3:3 Behold, we put bits <5469> in the horses <2462>’ mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body.
Jas 3:4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm (rudder), whithersoever the governor listeth.
Jas 3:5 EVEN SO the TONGUE is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!
Jas 3:6 And the TONGUE is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.
Ps 12:3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the TONGUE that speaketh proud things:
Ps 32:9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit <04964> and bridle <07448>, lest they come near unto thee.
FURLONGS: TRIBULATION THAT TRANSITIONED INTO JUDGMENT?
Re 14:20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs <4712>.
Joh 6:19 So when they had rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs <4712>, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh unto the ship: and they were afraid.
Joh 11:18 Now Bethany (house of misery) was nigh unto Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs <4712> off:
1Co 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race <4712> run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
Heb 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race <73> that is set before us,
Col 2:1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict <73> I have for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
1Ti 6:12 Fight the good fight <73> of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Re 3:11 Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
1600: 2X2X2X2X2X2X5X5, 4x4x100, 40X40: 40=Testing, tribulation, judgment – Judgment on the church (2)?
Lu 4:2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered.
Ge 7:12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.
Ge 41:32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
Revelation 14:20 appears to be relating to God’s Judgment on the church at the revelation of Christ. Horse Bridles seem to point to the church that God likens to the tongue that is a little member able to cause much damage in turning about the whole body. Winepress would be a reference to the vineyard (Christ) that God planted and Furlong to the timing of the tribulation that led to the final judment on the body. 1600 = 40 x 40 points to testing or tribulation. 40 Days and 40 Nights would both refer to tribulation and judgment.
