Noonday

As we carefully consider NOON or NOONDAY in the light of the whole Bible, we begin to see that spiritually this seems to be another reference to the great tribulation and judgment day: Separation of wheat and tares.

JUDGMENT

De 28:29 And thou shalt grope <04959> at NOONDAY, as the blind gropeth in darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.

1Th 5:7 For they that sleep sleep in the NIGHT; and they that be drunken are DRUNKEN in the NIGHT.

Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the NIGHT cometh, when no man can WORK.

Isa 59:10 We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at NOONDAY as in the NIGHT; we are in desolate places as dead men.

Ps 9:3 When mine enemies are turned back, they shall FALL and perish at thy presence.

Re 14:8 And there followed another angel, saying, BABYLONG IS FALLEN, is fallen, that great city, because she made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.

Jer 48:8 And the SPOILER shall come upon every city, and no city shall escape: the valley also shall perish, and the plain shall be destroyed, as the LORD hath spoken.

Am 8:9 And it shall come to pass in THAT DAY, saith the Lord GOD, that I will cause the sun to go down at NOON, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

Mr 13:24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the SUN shall be DARKENED, and the moon shall not give her light,

Isa 5:30 And in that day they shall roar against them like the roaring of the sea: and if one look unto the land, behold DARKNESS and sorrow, and the light is darkened in the HEAVENS thereof.

SALVATION

So 1:7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where thou makest thy flock to <rest> at NOON: for why should I be as one that turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions?

Ps 37:6 And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the NOONDAY.

Jer 6:4 Prepare ye war against her; arise, and let us GO UP at NOON. Woe unto us! for the day goeth away, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.

Isa 58:10 And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the NOONDAY:

Ac 26:13 At MIDDAY, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, SHINING ROUND ABOUT ME and them which journeyed with me.

Conclusion:

The Bible appears to be revealing that NOON or NOONDAY as another name God assigns to the Great Tribulation. And by His grace, we come to realize that with pretty much everything else in the Bible it has two sides: Judgment comes at Noon as it does in the Night because God causes the sun to go down at Noon and brings darkness in a clear DAY as He destroys the church body. At the same time Christ dines with the Elect at Noon (Salvation, depart out).
