Private Interpretation

Is private interpretation speaking of the falling away of the church in tribulation? Let's examine.

2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any PRIVATE <2398> (pertaining to one’s self, one’s own) interpretation.

2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God SPAKE as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

1Co 7:7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper <2398> gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

Joh 8:44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his OWN <2398>: for he is a LIAR, and the father of it.

Isa 58:13 If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, from doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking {THINE OWN} WORDS:

Pr 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine OWN understanding.

Pr 28:11 The rich man is wise in his OWN conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

Jer 27:9 Therefore hearken not ye to your prophets, nor to your diviners, nor to your dreamers, nor to your enchanters, nor to your sorcerers, which speak unto you, saying, Ye shall not serve the king of Babylon:

Da 4:7 Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did not make known unto me the interpretation thereof.

Jer 23:25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy **lies** in my name, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed.

Eze 13:7 Have ye not seen a vain vision, and have ye not spoken a **lying divination**, whereas ye say, The LORD saith it; albeit I have NOT SPOKEN?

Jer 23:28 The prophet that hath a dream, let him tell a dream; and he that hath my word, let him speak my word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? saith the LORD.

1Co 14:28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

1Co 14:26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.

Zec 10:2 For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a LIE, and have told **false dreams**; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

Jer 23:32 Behold, I am against them that prophesy **false dreams**, saith the LORD, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their LIES, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the LORD.

Da 4:6 Therefore made I a decree to bring in all the wise men of BABYLON before me, that they might make known unto me the INTERPRETATION of the **dream**.

Da 4:7 Then came in the magicians, the astrologers, the Chaldeans, and the soothsayers: and I told the dream before them; but they did NOT make known unto me the INTERPRETATION thereof.

Ge 40:8 And they said unto him, We have dreamed a dream, and there is no interpreter of it. And Joseph said unto them, Do not interpretations belong to God? tell me them, I pray you.

Joe 2:28 And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Eze 12:23-24 Tell them therefore, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will make this proverb to cease, and they shall no more use it as a proverb in Israel; but say unto them, The days are at hand, and the effect of every vision… For there shall be NO MORE any vain vision nor flattering divination within the house of Israel.

1Co 14:13 Wherefore let him that speaketh in an {} tongue pray that he may interpret.

Pr 1:6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

Ge 41:12 And there was there with us a young man, an Hebrew, servant to the captain of the guard; and we told him, and he interpreted to us our dreams; to each man according to his dream he did interpret.

God appears to be associating dreams and visions to His Word. False prophets come with their own word and claim it is from God. The interpretation they offer are false and brings judgment on them. The Elect, however, receive interpretation of dreams and visions from God (revelation of Christ) and therefore are able to speak the truth as they come out of Babylon.
