Looking into various aspect of FEAR as it relates to judgment and salvation.

FEAR: TRIBULATION AND JUDGMENT?

Ps 9:20 Put them in fear, O LORD: that the nations may know themselves to be but men. Selah.

Ps 48:6 Fear took hold upon them there, and pain, as of a woman in travail.

Pr 1:26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh;

Pr 3:25 Be not afraid of sudden <6597> fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh.

Pr 6:15 Therefore shall his calamity come suddenly <06597>; suddenly shall he be broken without remedy.

Jer 51:8 Babylon is suddenly <6597> fallen and destroyed: howl for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed.

1Th 5:3 For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction (fear) cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

Isa 19:16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

La 3:47 Fear and a snare is come upon us, desolation and destruction.

Lu 21:26 Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

FEAR OF THE LORD: FEAR THAT LEADS TO REPENTANCE?

Job 28:28 And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding.

Pr 2:5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.

Pr 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

Pr 14:27 The fear of the LORD is a fountain of life, to depart from the snares of death.

Pr 16:6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from evil.

2Ch 14:14 And they smote all the cities round about Gerar; for the fear of the LORD came upon them: and they spoiled all the cities; for there was exceeding much spoil in them.

Re 11:13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

2Ki 17:39 But the LORD your God ye shall fear; and he shall deliver you out of the hand of all your enemies.

Ps 85:9 Surely his salvation is nigh them that fear him; that glory may dwell in our land.

Ps 25:14 The secret of the LORD is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

Pr 10:27 The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

Ho 3:5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.

Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Isa 2:19 And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the LORD, and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

SEPARATION: ELECT NO LONGER FEAR JUDGMENT ONCE REDEEMED?

Jer 46:28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.

1Jo 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect <5046> love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Mt 5:48 Be ye therefore perfect <5046>, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

1Co 13:10 But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

Re 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Jer 23:4 And I will set up shepherds over them which shall feed them: and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, neither shall they be lacking, saith the LORD.

Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

Mt 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.

Ps 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

NO FEAR OF GOD: THE WICKED WHO DO NOT REPENT?

Ro 3:18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Pr 1:29 For that they hated knowledge, and did NOT choose the fear of the LORD:

Re 9:20 And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented NOT of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:

Re 16:9 And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Re 2:21 And I gave her space to repent of her fornication; and she repented NOT.

FEAR IN PERDITION: JUDGMENT ON BABYLON AT THE SEPARATION?

Re 18:15 The merchants of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,

Re 11:11 And after three days and an half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.

Ps 105:38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them.

SUMMARY COUCLUSION

Fear seems to relate to tribulation where the whole body is brought into judgment. The fear of the Lord causes the elect to repent while the unsaved do NOT fear God unto repentance. Therefore Fear (judgment) continues on them at the revelation of Christ.
