Knowing Good and Evil

How does the sin of Adam and Evil relate to the Church in tribulation? Let's examine.

THE CHURCH WAS GOOD BEFORE THE FALL: THEN A CHOICE BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL

Ge 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Ge 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge <01847> of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

De 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

De 30:16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.

De 30:17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;

De 30:18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.

De 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:

Ec 1:18 For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge <01847> increaseth sorrow.

Da 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge <01847> shall be increased.

Ps 34:14 Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

De 1:39 Moreover your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, and your children, which in that day had no knowledge between good and evil, they shall go in thither, and unto them will I give it, and they shall possess it.

Ge 2:25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

THE CHURCH FAILED THE TEST: IT CAME TO KNOW EVIL IN TRIBULATION

Ge 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Ge 3:7 And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig <08384> leaves <05929> together, and made themselves aprons.

Isa 34:4 And all the host of heaven shall be dissolved, and the heavens shall be rolled together as a scroll: and all their host shall fall down, as the leaf <05929> falleth off from the vine, and as a falling fig from the fig tree <08384>.

Jer 8:13 I will surely consume them, saith the LORD: there shall be no grapes on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree <08384>, and the leaf <05929> shall fade; and the things that I have given them shall pass away from them.

Mt 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

3Jo 1:11 Beloved, follow not that which is evil, but that which is good. He that doeth good is of God: but he that doeth evil hath not seen God.

Heb 5:14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern <1253> both good and evil.

1Co 12:10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning <1253> of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

KING OF TYRUS: A TYPE OF THE CHURCH (ADAM AND EVE) BEFORE THE FALL?

Eze 28:12 Son of man, take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyrus, and say unto him, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Thou sealest up the sum, full of wisdom, and perfect in beauty.

Eze 28:13 Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.

Eze 28:14 Thou art the anointed cherub that covereth; and I have set thee so: thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Eze 28:15 Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.

Eze 28:16 By the multitude of thy merchandise they have filled the midst of thee with violence, and thou hast sinned: therefore I will cast thee as profane out of the mountain of God: and I will destroy thee, O covering cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.

THE BODY IS CAST OUT AND BANNED FROM THE TREE OF LIFE

Ge 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Ge 3:24 So he drove out <01644> the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Ge 4:14 Behold, thou hast driven me out <01644> this day from the face of the earth; and from thy face shall I be hid; and I shall be a fugitive and a vagabond in the earth; and it shall come to pass, that every one that findeth me shall slay me.

Ge 21:10 Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out <01644> this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Ho 9:15 All their wickedness is in Gilgal: for there I hated them: for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out <01644> of mine house, I will love them no more: all their princes are revolters.

Mic 2:9 The women of my people have ye cast out <01644> from their pleasant houses; from their children have ye taken away my glory for ever.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

With the fall of Adam and Eve, God it seems, is giving us a picture of the church that was created perfect and without sin. It was commanded to obey God and not go after the tree of knowledge of good and evil (other gospels). Coming into the great tribulation appears to mimic the fall of Adam and Eve. And as God drove out the couple from the garden, today, He has also driven out the unsaved body in judgment.
