Bruised Head & Heel

Could bruising the Head relate to the death of the Church? What about the bruised heel? Let's examine.

BRUISED OR WOUNDED HEAD: DEATH OF THE CHURCH AT THE REVELATION OF CHRIST?

Ge 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise^7779 thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Job 9:17 For he breaketh^7779 me with a tempest, and multiplieth my wounds without cause.

Jon 2:5 The waters compassed me about, even to the soul: the depth closed me round about, the weeds were wrapped about my head.

La 5:16 The crown is fallen from our head: woe unto us, that we have sinned!

Jer 30:23 Behold, the whirlwind of the LORD goeth forth with fury, a continuing whirlwind: it shall fall with pain upon the head of the wicked.

BRUISED HEEL: BODY OF CHRIST IN TRIBULATION?

Ge 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel^6119.

Ge 25:26 And after that came his brother out, and his hand took hold on Esau’s heel^6119; and his name was called Jacob (heel holder, supplanter): and Isaac was threescore years old when she bare them.

Ho 12:2 The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.

Ho 12:3 He took his brother by the heel <06117> in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:

Ge 27:35 And he said, Thy brother came with subtilty (deceit, craft…), and hath taken away thy blessing.

HEEL, STEPS, FOOTSTEPS: CHRIST?

Ps 77:19 Thy way is in the sea, and thy path in the great waters, and thy footsteps^6119 are not known.

Ps 37:23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way.

1Pe 2:21 For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:

Ro 4:12 And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.

Ps 18:36 Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip.

Ps 37:31 The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

Ps 85:13 Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION

The Bible appears to be equating the bruising of the head of the serpent with God’s judgment on the church at the revelation of Christ and the bruising of the heel to the death of the two witnesses in tribulation when the heel (Christ) is bruised through deceit.
