Let this Cup Pass
Do the believers drink of the FIRST CUP of God's wrath as they endured tribulation? Let's examine.
LET THIS CUP PASS: PRAYER OF THE ELECT NOT TO HAVE TO ENDURE TRIBULATION (TYPIFIED BY CHRIST GOING TO THE CROSS)?
Mt 26:39 And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this CUP PASS from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
La 4:21 Rejoice and be glad, O daughter of Edom, that dwellest in the land of Uz; the CUP also shall PASS through unto thee: thou shalt be drunken, and shalt make thyself naked.
Mr 14:35 And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the HOUR might PASS from him.
Mt 24:50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an HOUR that he is not aware of,
Mt 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same HOUR what ye shall speak.
Mt 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
Mt 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to DRINK of the CUP that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
Mt 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall DRINK indeed of my CUP, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
1Co 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and DRINK this CUP, ye do shew the Lord’s DEATH till he come.
2Ti 2:11 It is a faithful saying: For if we be <DEAD with him>, we shall also live with him:
2Ti 2:12 If we suffer <5278>, we shall also reign with him: if we deny him, he also will deny us:
Re 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and KILL THEM.
Joh 16:2 They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever KILLETH YOU will think that he doeth God service.
Mt 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth <5278> to the end shall be saved.
Ro 12:12 Rejoicing in hope; patient <5278> in TRIBULATION; continuing instant in prayer;
Heb 12:7 If ye endure <5278> CHASTENING, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?
Jas 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth <5278> TEMPTATION: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Jas 5:11 Behold, we count them happy which endure <5278>. Ye have heard of the PATIENCE of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
1Pe 2:20 For what glory is it, if, when ye be buffeted for your faults, ye shall take it patiently? but if, when ye do well, and suffer for it, ye take it patiently <5278>, this is acceptable with God.
Mt 24:20 But pray ye that your FLIGHT be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:
YE SHALL CERTAIN DRINK: GOD PASSING THE CUP TO THE UNSAVED CHURCH AS HE AVENGES THE ELECT?
Jer 25:28 And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thine hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Ye shall certainly drink.
Jer 25:29 For, lo, I begin to BRING EVIL on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts.
Jer 51:7 Babylon hath been a golden CUP in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.

Isa 51:22 Thus saith thy Lord the LORD, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thine hand the cup of trembling, even the dregs of the cup of my fury; thou shalt no more drink it again:
Isa 51:23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou hast laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over.
God seems to be associating the first drinking of the cup to the tribulation believers had to endure. The church ceremonies of eating the bread and drinking the cup was spiritually pointing to the death the elect have in common with Christ when God’s judgment came on the body. So they were the first to drink, followed by the unsaved church, babylon, at the revelation of Christ.
