Does deception have to do with the rise of antichrist in tribulation? Let's examine.


Mt 24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Mt 24:4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive^4105 you.

Mt 24:5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive^4105 many.

Mt 24:24 For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive^4105 the very elect.

Mt 18:12 How think ye? if a man have an hundred sheep, and one of them be gone astray^4105, doth he not leave the ninety and nine, and goeth into the mountains, and seeketh^2212 that which is gone astray^4105?

Lu 14:5 And answered them, saying, Which of you shall have an ass or an ox fallen into a pit, and will not straightway pull him out on the sabbath day?

Mt 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:

Re 20:3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive^4105 the nations^1484 no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. (go into perdition)

Re 20:8 And shall go out to deceive^4105 the nations^1484 which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.

Re 20:9 And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Re 20:10 And the devil that deceived^4105 them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Re 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations^1484.

Re 21:24 And the nations^1484 of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it: and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it.

Re 15:4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations^1484 shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

1Pe 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation^1484, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:


Pr 11:1 A false^4820 balance^3976 is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight.

De 25:15 But thou shalt have a perfect and just^06664 weight^068, a perfect and just measure shalt thou have: that thy days may be lengthened in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Le 19:36 Just balances, just^06664 weights^068, a just ephah, and a just hin, shall ye have: I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt.

Pr 16:11 A just weight and balance are the LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are his work.

Pr 20:23 Divers weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false^4820 balance^3976 is not good.

Ho 12:7 He is a merchant, the balances^3976 of deceit^4820 are in his hand: he loveth to oppress.

Am 8:4 Hear this, O ye that swallow up the needy, even to make the poor of the land to fail,

Am 8:5 Saying, When will the new moon be gone, that we may sell corn? and the sabbath, that we may set forth wheat, making the ephah small, and the shekel great, and falsifying the balances^3976 by deceit^4820?

Am 8:6 That we may buy the poor for silver, and the needy for a pair of shoes; yea, and sell the refuse of the wheat? (false merchandising?)

Mic 6:11 Shall I count them pure with the wicked balances^3976, and with the bag of deceitful^4820 weights?

Eze 4:16 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care (sorrow); and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:

Eze 5:1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber’s razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances^3976 to weigh, and divide the hair

Lev 26:26 And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

Re 6:5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

Re 6:6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny^1220, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

Mt 20:9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny^1220.

Joh 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.


The Bible appears to give us sufficient information to conclude that deception is primarily related tied to the reign of antichrists in tribulation. The believers, however, turn to the Lord as He calls them out of this time of deception (out of Babylon).
