12 Hours in the DAY

Looking into the spiritual nature of John 11:9

THE NUMBER TWELVE: PARABLE, SINCE THERE ARE 24 HOURS IN A NORMAL DAY?

Emphasis on DAY to separate the light from the darkness?

Mt 10:2 Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;

Re 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

Ge 17:20 And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes shall he beget, and I will make him a great nation.

Re 7:4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand (12x12x1000) of all the tribes of the children of Israel.

Lu 22:30 That ye may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel. (unsaved twelve tribes?)

THE DAY: CHRIST HIMSELF ( judgment and salvation)?

Ps 118:24 This is the DAY which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Isa 45:7 I form the LIGHT, and create darkness: I make PEACE, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

Joh 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the LIGHT of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the LIGHT of the world.

Am 5:20 Shall not the DAY of the LORD be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?

Ge 1:5 And God called the light DAY, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

HOURS IN THE DAY: TIME FOR SALVATION IN CHRIST?

Joh 11:9 Jesus answered, Are there not twelve HOURS in the DAY? If any man walk in the DAY, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world.

Joh 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the LIGHT with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.

Joh 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is DAY: the NIGHT cometh, when no man can work.

Ps 104:23 Man goeth forth unto his work and to his labour until the evening.

Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:

Re 11:7 And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

70 WEEKS OF DANIEL 9: A TYPE OF THE 12 HOURS WITH THE LAST WEEK BEING JUDGMENT DAY?

Da 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

Da 9:26 And after threescore and two weeks (62 the Day?) shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

Da 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for ONE WEEK (7 the night?): and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

THIRD, SIXTH, NINTH AND ELEVENTH HOUR: CHURCH AGE – WHAT ABOUT THE 12TH HOUR?

Mt 20:1 For the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.

Mt 20:2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

Mt 20:3 And he went out about the third hour, and saw others standing idle in the marketplace,

Mt 20:4 And said unto them; Go ye also into the vineyard, and whatsoever is right I will give you. And they went their way.

Mt 20:5 Again he went out about the sixth and ninth hour, and did likewise.

Mt 20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?

Mt 20:7 They say unto him, Because no man hath hired us. He saith unto them, Go ye also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, that shall ye receive.

Mt 20:8 So when even was come (12TH HOUR?), the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.

Mt 19:30 But many that are first shall be LAST; and the last shall be FIRST.

Mt 20:9 And when they came that were hired about the eleventh hour, they received every man a penny.

Mt 20:10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny.

Mt 20:11 And when they had received it, they murmured against the goodman of the house,

Mt 20:12 Saying, These last have wrought {} one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day.

Mt 20:14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this LAST, even as unto thee.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION:

The Bible appears to be associating 12 hours in the DAY to the salvation available in Christ prior to the judgment on Babylon (NIGHT). This is a parable that seems to focus on the number 12 that is dealing with salvation. Judgment comes at the end of the eleventh hour which seems to imply that it’s a parable where we have to look at what the number is pointing to.
