Loving the World

Did God LOVE the corporate church? Let's examine.

CONDITIONAL LOVE: GOD LOVING THE CHURCH AS LONG AS IT WAS FAITHFUL?

Joh 3:16 For God so LOVED the WORLD, that he gave his only begotten Son, that **whosoever believeth** in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh 1:12 But **as many as received him**, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

1Jo 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he LOVED US, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

1Jo 4:11 Beloved, if God so loved US, we ought also to love one another.

Mr 10:21 Then Jesus beholding him (rich young man) LOVED HIM, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.

1Jo 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Mt 18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I FORGAVE THEE all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

Eph 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also LOVED THE CHURCH, and **gave himself for it**;

2Pe 2:1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that **bought <59> them**, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.

1Co 7:23 Ye are bought <59> with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

Re 5:9 And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed <59> us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;

Re 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Mt 5:45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the EVIL and on the GOOD, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust

Joh 15:5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Joh 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.

Ps 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

1Sa 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.

FALLING AWAY: THE CHURCH LEAVING THE FIRST LOVE THAT IS CHRIST?

Re 2:4 Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy FIRST LOVE.

1Ti 6:10 For the LOVE of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. {erred: or, been seduced }

2Th 2:10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received NOT the LOVE of the TRUTH, that they might be saved.

Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

Heb 6:6 If they shall FALL AWAY, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

FROM LOVE TO POLUTION: CHURCH BECOMING UNCLEAN IN TRIBULATOIN?

Eze 16:6 And when I passed by thee, and saw thee polluted in thine own blood, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live; yea, I said unto thee when thou wast in thy blood, Live.

Eze 16:7 I have caused thee to multiply as the bud of the field, and thou hast increased and waxen great, and thou art come to excellent ornaments: thy breasts are fashioned, and thine hair is grown, whereas thou wast naked and bare.

Eze 16:8 Now when I passed by thee, and looked upon thee, behold, thy time was the time of love; and I spread my skirt over thee, and covered thy nakedness: yea, I sware unto thee, and entered into a covenant with thee, saith the Lord GOD, and thou becamest mine.

Eze 16:9 Then washed I thee with water; yea, I throughly washed away thy blood from thee, and I anointed thee with oil.

Eze 16:10 I clothed thee also with broidered work, and shod thee with badgers’ skin, and I girded thee about with fine linen, and I covered thee with silk.

Eze 16:11 I decked thee also with ornaments, and I put bracelets upon thy hands, and a chain on thy neck.

Eze 16:12 And I put a jewel on thy forehead, and earrings in thine ears, and a beautiful crown upon thine head.

Eze 16:13 Thus wast thou decked with gold and silver; and thy raiment was of fine linen, and silk, and broidered work; thou didst eat fine flour, and honey, and oil: and thou wast exceeding beautiful, and thou didst prosper into a kingdom.

Eze 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord GOD.

Eze 16:15 But thou didst trust in thine own beauty, and playedst the harlot because of thy renown, and pouredst out thy fornications on every one that passed by; his it was.

DIVORCE: GOD PUTTING AWAY HIS PEOPLE FOR FORNICATION?

Jer 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.

1Co 6:13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.

Mt 19:9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.

UNCONDITIONAL LOVE: GOD LOVING THE ETERNAL CHURCH IN CHRIST?

1Jo 4:18 There is no fear in love; but perfect LOVE casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.

Ro 8:35 Who shall separate us from the LOVE of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?

Heb 12:6 For whom the Lord LOVETH he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

Heb 12:8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

Ro 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

Mt 19:6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

SUMMARY CONCLUSION

God’s LOVE for the world (body of Christ) appears to be conditional. While He cared for His people on the corporate level, it’s only those who were eternally chosen that end up STAYING married to Him? For God so loved the world would seem to be pointing to the whole body of Christ prior to the separation.
