A Biblical analysis of 'earthquake'. The main focus of earthquake appears to be on the great tribulation. It first began with earthquake in divers places. Then when Christ was revealed, God speaks of a great earthquake that shakes the corporate. It's at the same time the elect body is fleeing from this earthquake by going to the mountains. Let's examine.

Earthquake = Tribulation

Isa 29:6 Thou shalt be visited of the LORD of hosts with thunder, and with earthquake^07494, and great noise, with storm and tempest, and the flame of devouring fire.

Eze 38:19 For in my jealousy and in the fire of my wrath have I spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking^07494 in the land of Israel;

Earthquake: Pre depart out

Mt 24:7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes^4578, in divers places.

Mr 13:8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes^4578 in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles^5016: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

Lu 21:11 And great earthquakes^4578 shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.

Mt 8:24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest^4578 in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

Joh 5:4 For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling^5016 of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had.

Jer 30:7 Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Earthquake: Judgment and depart out

Ac 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake^4578, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

Isa 14:17 That (the man, king of Babylon, Satan) made the world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof; that opened not the house of his prisoners?

Re 6:12 And I beheld when he had opened the sixth seal, and, lo, there was a great earthquake^4578; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became as blood;

Re 6:13 And the stars of heaven fell unto the earth, even as a fig tree casteth her untimely figs, when she is shaken^4579 of a mighty^3173 wind^417.

Mr 4:37 And there arose a great^3173 storm of wind^417, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.

Mt 24:29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:

Re 8:5 And the angel took the censer, and filled it with fire of the altar, and cast it into the earth: and there were voices^5456, and thunderings, and lightnings, and an earthquake^4578.

Re 18:4 And I heard another voice^5456 from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues^4127.

Joh 5:25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour^5610 is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice^5456 of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.

Re 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake^4578, and great^3173 hail^5464.

Re 16:21 And there fell upon men a great^3173 hail^5464 out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague^4127 of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Re 16:18 And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake^4578, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake^4578, and so great.

Mt 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation^2347, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

The North Country = Babylon, Corporate Body

Jer 50:9 For, lo, I will raise and cause to come up against Babylon an assembly of great nations from the north^06828 country^0776: and they shall set themselves in array against her; from thence she shall be taken: their arrows shall be as of a mighty expert man; none shall return in vain.

Jer 46:10 For this is the day of the Lord GOD of hosts, a day of vengeance, that he may avenge him of his adversaries: and the sword shall devour, and it shall be satiate and made drunk with their blood: for the Lord GOD of hosts hath a sacrifice in the north^06828 country^0776 by the river Euphrates.

Jer 31:8 Behold, I will bring them from the north^06828 country^0776, and gather them from the coasts of the earth, and with them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great company shall return thither.

Elect Flee from the Earthquake

Eze 37:7 So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking^07494, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.

Eze 37:10 So I prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army.

Rev 11:13 And the same hour^5610 was there a great earthquake^4578, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake^4578 were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.

Mt 10:19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour^5610 what ye shall speak.

Mt 10:20 For it is not ye that speak, but the Spirit of your Father which speaketh in you.

Zec 14:5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal (proximity: he has reserved – place near Jerusalem): yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake^07494 in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee.

Mr 13:14 But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not, (let him that readeth understand,) then let them that be in Judaea flee to the mountains:

Conclusion:

The Bible appears to be giving us conclusive evidence that Earthquake is a term God uses

primarily to describe the nature and characteristic of His judgment on the corporate body

during the great in tribulation. It begins with earthquake in various places, also known as the

beginning of sorrows. That time appears to relate to the killing of the two witnesses and

chastisement of the elect body. However, when Christ was revealed, God speaks of a major

earthquake. It is this earthquake which brings the bones of the elect body together (salvation)

and is also destroying many today in the Christian world who are not receiving revelation. It is

spiritual but very real and those being destroyed are not aware of it.
