Taken UNAWARES vs. KNOWING the Day and Hour: Recently we were looking at Babylon being taken unawares in the context of the separation of wheat and tares (Lu 17:36). I'd like to extend that, Lord willing, to see how this, too, would harmonize with Mr 13:32:

Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour KNOWETH NO <MAN>, no, not the <angels> which are in heaven, neither the <Son>, but the Father.

WAS THE CORPORATE BODY TAKEN UNAWARES? Additional proof that the DAY and HOUR is here and now?

Lu 19:44 And shall lay thee even with the ground, and thy children within thee; and they shall not leave in thee one stone upon another; because thou KNEWEST NOT the time of thy visitation.

Ps 35:8 Let destruction come upon HIM at UNAWARES; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall.

Jer 50:24 I have laid a snare for thee, and thou art also taken, O BABYLON, and thou wast NOT AWARE: thou art found, and also caught, because thou hast striven against the LORD.

Lu 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you UNAWARES.

Lu 12:46 The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is NOT AWARE, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.

UNAWARES = THIEF IN THE NIGHT?

Re 3:3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a THIEF, and thou shalt NOT KNOW what <hour> I will come upon thee.

Lu 12:39 And this know, that if the goodman of the house HAD KNOWN what <hour> the THIEF would come, he would have watched, and not have suffered his house to be broken through.

1Th 5:2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a THIEF IN THE NIGHT.

Joe 2:9 They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a THIEF.

FLOOD TYPIFIED THE DESTRUCTION OF BABYLON?

Mat 24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
Mat 24:39 And KNEW NOT until the FLOOD came, and <took them all away>; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Re 12:15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a FLOOD after the woman, that he might cause her to be <carried away> of the flood.

Eze 33:6 But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is <taken away> in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.

MAN = CORPORATE BODY?

God, it seems, given the proper context makes reference to the corporate body as a MAN, MEN or RICH MAN

Mr 13:32 But of that day and that hour KNOWETH NO <MAN>, no, not the <angels> which are in heaven, neither the <Son>, but the Father.

1Co 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a MAN have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

Joh 11:10 But if a MAN walk in the night, he stumbleth, because there is no light in him.

Pr 28:11 The rich MAN is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out.

Job 27:19 The rich MAN shall lie down, but he shall not be gathered: he openeth his eyes, and he is not.

2Ti 3:2 For MEN shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,

Eze 33:2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a MAN of their coasts, and set him for their WATCHMAN:

TAKEN UNAWARES BECAUSE THE BODY FELL ASLEEP?

Mt 25:5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.

Mt 26:40 And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?... See More

Re 18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her <plagues>.

1Th 5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that <day> should overtake you as a THIEF.

Eze 37:21 And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the heathen, whither they be gone, and <will gather them> on every side, and bring them into their own land:

Da 12:9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and <sealed> till the time of the end.
